ABOUT OUR DESIGNER
Leeds born and bred, I have been a passionate member of the foodservice community for more than 25 years. I love my job, the people, the industry, and the joy of delivering a successful project.
I have gained a wide experience in both the manufacturing and distributor environment. My clients have varied from vegan restaurants to care homes, independent schools to historic tourist attractions.
My career development started in Bradford at Victor Manufacturing providing servery design, quotation and warranty support. I moved to Lockhart Design Services where I cut my teeth in kitchen design and project delivery. After a while I was hired by Airedale Group where at first I led the design department implementing new systems, concepts and staff development. Eventually I moved to sales and left the business after 5 years of national account responsibilities in excess of £1m a year.
I took the opportunity to work in Daventry at Catering Design Group, there I worked with a talented team handling contract caterers and blue chip clients. After successfully completing a prestigious project for Nestle, I moved back to my native Yorkshire to get back to what I enjoyed most - design.
Having found my groove in consultation, I spent the next seven years developing projects with my colleagues at Arthur Walton. Following its demise in March 2020, I decided it was time to take the next step and form Hunsworth Food Service Design.
I am told by my contemporaries that my skill set is quite unique in the industry; in that I am fully conversant with the whole process. From consultation to project delivery, I am able to provide all aspects from CAD (2D/3D), quotation, equipment specification, specialist resourcing, tender analysis, project management, inspection and training.
If you are looking for an asset to your organisation, someone who will listen and offer solutions, maybe I can help you?
